It seems very interesting and paradox at the same time that the rural areas lose the amount of inhabitants based on various reasons. Those reasons might be due to fertility decline, moving behavior, no perspectives in the rural areas for young people, no caring facilities and services for old people. Additionally, it was striking to understand the consequences of people moving away from the rural areas which imply the livability and quality of life, the housing vacancy, a declining economy and services. “Movers” have been classified into categories based on family size or age, and the inflow and outflow has been visualized which was interesting to see as the entire Netherlands seems to be in a continuous flow.
