         <description><![CDATA[<div>Radio waves are mainly used for communication in radio broadcasts, military communications,  walkie talkies, mobile phones, wireless internet connections, and more.<br>The range of the radio spectrum is considered to be 3 kilohertz up to 300 gigahertz (300,000,000 kilohertz).<br>Radio waves are more widely used for communication than other electromagnetic waves mainly because their large wavelength allows them to pass through the atmosphere in any weather, foliage, and through most building materials, and the waves can bend around obstructions through diffraction.</div>]]></description>

X-rays helps to show problems like bone fractures or breaks.<br><br>&nbsp;X-rays are a form of <a href="https://www.arpansa.gov.au/understanding-radiation/what-is-radiation/radiation/glossary">electromagnetic radiation</a> similar to radio waves, microwaves, visible light and gamma rays. X-ray <a href="https://www.arpansa.gov.au/understanding-radiation/what-is-radiation/radiation/glossary">photons</a> are highly energetic and have enough energy to break up <a href="https://www.arpansa.gov.au/understanding-radiation/what-is-radiation/radiation/glossary">molecules</a> and hence damage living cells. When X-rays hit a material some are absorbed and others pass through. Generally, the higher the energy the more X-rays will pass through.          <description><![CDATA[<div>A synthesizer is a musical instrument that works by producing pure sound waves through electric signals, and different sounds are produced by modifying the shape of these waves. There are two main kinds of analog synthesis- additive, where different waves are added together, and subtractive, where the waveform is modified by having different parts silenced.<br>&nbsp;There are four primary shapes of sound waves that are typically used: sine, sawtooth, square, and triangle. The thing that produces these waves is called the oscillator.&nbsp;<br>There are filters like High Pass and Low Pass. The Low pass allows low frequencies to pass through, creating a bass sound, and the High Pass does the opposite- it is self explanatory. There are settings that allow this filter to start kicking in later to make a sound that changes over time, and resonance effects that make the waves turn sharper to make the tone brighter.<br><br></div>]]></description>

They use radio waves and microwaves between wavelengths of about 10 meters and 1 millimetre emitted by astronomical objects.
