The Second Industrial Revolution occurred after the first industrial revolution and after the civil war and that was around 1860-1920 and in that time period in America there were some very memorable Inventors that were on the rise, people like Thomas Edison, Nikolai Tesla and the most important Samuel Morse (inventor of the first telegraph). And things that were created at that time like the railroad and the conveyor belt are things that are still being used to this day, in other words they revolutionized the world as we know it. but what was it like before? before the second industrial revolution people would use candles to light there homes, and factories would take upwards of 16 hours to make one thing (before the invention of the convener belt) all in all before the second industrial revolution things were slower and that halted the explosion of innovation and creation that was yet to come

During the second industrial revolution there was a handful of famous inventors who created and evolved revolutionary inventions, things such as the railroad, the telegraph and the use of electricity in people's homes. All of those things have revolutionized the way people live and go about their lives here in the U.S .to this very day. As Previously stated there were inventions from the second industrial revolution that are still used today, the railroad and the telegraph are perfect examples of that. The telegraph is what paved the way for modern phones . As well as the railroad which has evolved into a form of transportation for people not just goods (the CTA). But life before the creation of the railroad and electricity was much, much different people were not able to travel long distances, so they were stuck for the most part to the confines of there state and people used candles to light there homes and surroundings before the light bulb was invented. In the picture below we see a man using a telegraph to warn a Train on the railroad about bad weather, two inventions that have revolutionized are world.

Electricity and the light bulb

Electricity was a HUGE part of the second industrial revolution and in the second industrial revolution was when the first light bulb was created and the light bulb was the first example of electricity being used in such a way. The creation of the first light bulb, to me represents the creation of a new era. An era of innovation and that is because it was the first invention of the second industrial revolution that we still use today . Not only that but also because like previously stated there were other revolutionary inventions that were created in the second industrial revolution but to me the creation of the light bulb was what paved the way for all the other inventions that came after. in the picture below it shows tomes Addison holding the fist light bulb ever created, the new era.

A rise in jobs and population

they way that this surge in population and jobs revolutionized the world as we know it today is by the incorporation of a really big number of people who otherwise would be jobless into these factors that were creating things like cars, things that were beneficial to and important. Granted a Henry ford factory was not exactly a dream job for anyone, but it did provide enough money so that its workers could possibly start a family or at the least it kept people off the streets, and as a result the homeless rate went down significantly. And to this day that idea and way of creating jobs is still being used, maybe not at such a high rate like it used to but nonetheless is still a huge part of the U.S industry. And it came about from the second industrial revolution
