In Salvador, the carnival is held on a gigantic street enough to contain two million people gather to celebrate the festival. Officially, the carnival lasts five days, during which time different bands play music on top of the electric trios (18-wheelers with portable stages).

Throughout the year they gather enough musicians and bands that record new songs, make new songs and choreographies that they later reveal during the carnival.

Portuguese is the official language of Brazil, spoken by almost 100% of the population. Within Brazil there are too many diverse dialects that come from this beautiful and romantic Portuguese language, which makes it a little different from the Portuguese spoken in Portugal. As for other languages, many schools also teach English and Spanish. If you get stuck with Portuguese, don't hesitate to use Spanish, as the similarity between the languages is very reasonable and many Brazilians have no difficulty understanding it.
