Charlotte has a pretty moderate climate. There is beautiful weather in the spring and fall with pretty mild winters. There is occasionally snow, but more often there are big ice storms that bring down power lines and close the schools. Summer, however, can be very hot and humid. The mountains are only a 2-3 hour drive away, so it is a very convenient escape in the hot summer months.

http://vacationidea.com/restaurants/must-try-romantic-restaurants-in-charlotte-nc.html
