With the book The Hungry Caterpillar, which is the main point of this project, children gained many gains regarding daily life, both cheerfully and academically. They had the chance to reinforce standard/non-standard units of measurement thanks to the book. They experienced the process of learning the days of the week, ordering skills, the concept of before-after, creating graphs, and counting skills with fun and cooperation. They had the chance to learn about the educational tendencies of different countries. They spent the process learning to give importance to being creative, to express their opinions clearly, to be open to criticism, not to be afraid of making mistakes, to be able to take risks, and to be original.

I think that children's science and math skills improved and their multiple thinking skills improved at the same time as part of the project. I think that while they were gaining these cognitive skills, it also supported their psychological, social and language development. It was a fun and educational project where they could express themselves.

“Hikayeler ve Ölçümlerle Büyüyorum” projesinde çocuklar, hikayeler, oyunlar ve uygulamalı etkinliklerle ölçme ve zaman kavramlarını keşfettiler. Uzunluk ve ağırlık kavramlarını öğrendiler

Boylarını, kilolarını,ölçtüler; günleri, ve günlük rutinleri eğlenceli materyallerle, özellikle “Aç Tırtıl” hikayesiyle öğrendiler.

Proje; çocukların merak duygusunu, matematiksel farkındalığını ve zaman algısını destekledi. Oynayarak ve keşfederek öğrenmelerini sağladı. In the “Growing with Stories and Measurements” project, children explored measurement and time through stories, games, and hands-on activities.

They measured their height, weight, and shoes, and learned about days, seasons, and daily routines using fun materials like “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.”

The project supported their curiosity, math awareness, and understanding of time, helping them learn by playing and discovering.
