The development of technology has facilitated the flow of information, especially during the covid-19 period when people realised that the traditional office model did not seem to be suitable for the current times .Therefore,  the hybrid office model has become the office model for more and more people in the workplace. In this model, companies are made up of full-time remote workers and full-time employees, and communication and collaboration and information transfer become more important in the workplace.

The impact of employee collaboration and communication patterns in this office model will affect productivity and, in the long run, innovation. A lack of effective communication can create a "silo effect". Studies have found that remote working leads to employees interacting more frequently with people in their internal networks and making more connections within them.
It also leads to employees spending more time using asynchronous communication methods, such as email and messaging platforms, and less time having synchronous conversations face-to-face, on the phone or in video conferences.

Given that remote working has become a current and future trend, how to go about managing and using it well is something we should be considering at the moment. For example, how can technology be used to facilitate collaborative communication between team members? How can performance be set up to influence the motivation of team members?
