Greg and his grandpa almost crashed into a car on the highway, but he braked at the last second. He wanted to turn around and go back home before anybody notices that the car is gone, but they ran out of gas! They both panicked, but one of the signs on the highway said "Gas Station 1 mile ahead." Greg's grandpa thought he should go get the gas while Greg stays in the car so the car doesn't get towed. Greg thought he would be quick, but then he remembered that he is a grandpa, and they don't go that fast. A couple minutes he saw his grandpa, and he was so relieved. When he came, he had a huge jug of gasoline in his hand. They put the gas in the car and started driving. But the brakes and the steering wheel were not working because when he slammed on the brakes, it broke. It drove, but he wasn't able to steer so they drove into a ditch. It took about to a long time for Greg's mom and the towing truck to come. They had to drive home in Greg's mom's car while the other car was getting fixed. Greg's mom was very mad, but she didn't want to say anything in front of grandpa. so they drove home in complete silence. When they got home, Greg knew his dad would be furious when he got home from work, so he decided to join a field trip to a farm for a whole week. Greg thought it would be a good idea to go, so maybe after a week, his dad would have forgotten about the toothpaste cap, the flooded floors, the wet ceilings, and the broken car. But he also saw all the reviews on the trip, and saw that everyone put zero stars and said "Don't try coming," and "Your life will never be the same after this trip." But he knew that he would rather try his luck and go to that farm than taking his chances with his dad.
