An example of providing in-person formative feedback is by categorizing "what went well" and "what can be done better". This would highlight the aspects of their performance that they can continue doing and those performances that they can improve upon.

This could be at the start, middle or end. Allowing students to share what is on their mind, even if not related to the course directly as it provides collaboration in problem solving, peer support and releases steam.

Challenge: Can't expect active engagement for flex classes. Many students are joining from a bus, work etc and can't participate through chat, emoji's etc. We have to be flexible work with what we have each class.
