MARRIED LIFE- A man and a woman take vows to life faithfully as husband and wife. God bonds them with a sacred bond, giving the grace they need to love each other as God loves them. They are basically marrying God together. They also can have children, which they educate about God and the faith.

RELIGIOUS LIFE- they consecrate themselves to God. The religious people become a living sign of heaven on earth. They help point us to heaven. There are two types: contemplative and active. We need both because active takes care of our physical needs and contemplative takes care of our spiritual needs. They also take vows.

PRIESTHOOD: everyone is called to the common priesthood, but only a certain number of people are called to the ministerial priesthood. They receive the sacrament of Holy Orders. Priests follow in the ways of the apostles. Priests make 3 promises: prayer, obedience, and celibacy. They act in the person of Christ. Priests strive to increase the holiness in people.

WE ALL SHARE A COMMON VOCATION- We are all called by name to be a saint! We are called to holiness and eternal happiness. Holiness is both a vocation and a responsibility.

I also imagine myself in different vocations and think about how I would do in each one.

I listen to other people tell stories about their vocations and how they discerned them.

I am afraid that I will mishear God and end up in a position or wrong vocation and be very unhappy.

I think that we should answer our call because God knows exactly what to do with our life. By sticking to our vocation, we are given a direct path to God.
