Primark stores have doubled over the last 15 years (over 400 now) 

. Less people are involved in decision making- less time consuming and more responsibility is given to buyers at a junior level 

. Predict trends themselves months in advance 

. Have strong positive relationships with suppliers, allows them to keep track of cost at each stage of production 

. High amounts of stock allow cost to be kept low 

. Design, fabric, Labour costs, trims keep price low e.g. made in China, looser knits, more basic designs, synthetic materials, using all the material. 

. Primark clothing is typically a high quality for the low price is it sold at. 

. Buy huge bulk, with clothing leaving countries such as China already on the hangers, so staff simply need to take clothing out of box and put in store. 

. Julia Darlington hosted a virtual seminar which allowed us to learn the process involved when prioritising tasks and sticking to deadlines. I will try to use these techniques in future projects particularly for the final project.
