Specific:

I will raise my Math grade from a passing grade like B or B+ by committing to consistent class attendance, regular practice, timely completion of assignments, and seeking help when needed. The goal is to improve my understanding of key lessons and perform better on tests and assignments.

Measurable:
I will track my progress by monitoring my grades on quizzes, tests, and assignments throughout the semester. I will aim for at least an 80% average on all assessments and keep eye of my progress with my and in my study notes and worksheets the teachers give.

Achievable:
I believe this goal is achievable because I will dedicate 1 hour each day to practice math problems, which will help me in lessons. This can do by staying organized and focused, I will be able to understand and apply the lessons better. I will also do like tutors and practice worksheets when I need extra help.

Relevant:
Improving my grades in Math is important for my overall academic success for Ateneo, especially since Math is a required subject for graduation for ASHS. A higher grade will also help me build a stronger foundation for future jobs, including future senior high subjects, and will increase my confidence in my math skills.

Time-bound:
I will achieve this goal by the end of the term. I will regularly check in with my progress after each test or quiz to make sure I’m on track. By the final exam, I will aim to have reached a B average or higher.

The 3rd term of Grade 10 math has been really okay for me since I had my grades up this 2nd and 3rd Term. The lessons are much easier than I expected, and I’m okay to keep up with the pace of the lessons. I always understand everything the teacher is explaining, especially when it comes to topics. Every time we have a quiz or test, I feel like I’m prepared, and my grades reflect that.

This 3rd term, this was the hardest and most challenging task to review at is Probability since it kind of is my weakness, I really had hard times understanding Problems. I see that many probability problems can produce results that go against common sense. I also get confuse at independent and dependent events, leading to incorrect conclusions about unlikely problems. Additionally, small changes in conditions can drastically change probabilities, making it difficult to apply general rules consistently. On top of that, real-world probability often involves hidden variables and incomplete information, making precise calculations even more challenging.

I think I really put my best works here since POTN helped me so much with plus points during the Math Week. Also, POTN helped me the most because it made hard problems become a learning process by making math less harder and more manageable. The exercises kept me alive, and I loved how I could practice these hard problems on my own and get immediate feedback by seeing the answers and results.

I got a misconception to Arithmetic Series that can be misleading because numbers often seem simpler than they really are. People assume that bigger numbers always mean more, but context matters like with negative numbers or fractions. Another common mistake is thinking that multiplication always makes things larger, when in reality, multiplying by fractions or zero does the opposite. Division is also tricky because it doesn’t always split things evenly, leading to confusion with remainders and decimals. Lastly, many people expect math rules to always work the same way, but special cases (like dividing by zero) break those expectations.

I think study groups helped me a lot because they gave me a chance to learn from others and get different perspectives on the topics. Sometimes, when I was stuck on a tough problem, like solving arithmetic sequence or geometric sequence, hearing how someone else explained it made things understandable for me. In a study group, we could work through problems together, and if I didn’t understand something, one of my friends would break it down in a way that made more sense. We’d help each other out, and make learning feel less stressful.
