Hi, I'm Sarah, I'll meet you for some of your demo lessons and seminars. I've been a language teacher for 18 years now in China, UK, Poland, New Zealand and Taiwan, working at language schools and universities. I also used to be an IELTS examiner. I currently teach EAP (English for academic purposes) as well as working with TESOL students.

Hi I'm Simon your course coordinator on the MSc TESOL Methodology module. I taught in Indonesia for 6 years from kids to adults and became an IELTS examiner before going to China for a couple years to teach with Leicester University in Dalian and Nottingham University in Ningbo. I'm now the presessional coordinator at the UoA Language Centre where we teach English for Academic Purposes to students at the university. I'm looking forward to meeting you all!

My name is Yaxuan Jin. I come from Xinjiang, China, a beautiful place with rich ethnic customs and stunning natural scenery. I completed my undergraduate studies in Shanghai, majoring in Business English. Right after graduation, I came here to continue my learning journey.

Currently, I don’t have any teaching experience yet. But I’m full of enthusiasm and eagerness to explore the field of education. I’m really looking forward to learning more knowledge and skills related to teaching this semester, and I hope to gain valuable insights from both the courses and my fellow classmates.

although i am learning tesol, but my future interest is to work on illustration area so i am preparing portfolio for it at the same time, i hope i can manage all of these well.

I am Nujhat from Bangladesh. I have one year of school teaching experience, and three years of home tutoring experience to young learners. Aside from formal teaching, I helped my friends practice English speaking by facilitating group sessions.

I am interested in teaching English speaking to adolescent and adult learners who speak a different naitve language. I believe that the ability to speak English opens doors to lots of international opportunities and plays a huge role in advancing one's career.

I love to read books, write fiction and have conversations.

Hello, I'm Stuart. I'm from Aberdeen and have no prior teaching experience but have been enjoying the course and look forward to starting my teaching journey.

I'm mostly interested in teaching adults and hope the TESOL MSc gives me the ability to work globally wherever I may need to.

I have graduated and worked for many years in English education. To further improve my language skills, especially as a non-native speaker, it is necessary for me to study in the UK. That’s why I chose to study in Aberdeen.
