Also, if you use powerful adjectives to describe the emotion of the event, then that could really get the reader's mentality into the mood of the event/s. It really just depends on the word play that the author uses.

I think what makes a sentence more powerful is not just powerful words, but how those words are put together. They need to convey the main point while still holding meaning and leaving an impact on the reader. It depends on what kind of message the author wants to send out as well. Once words connect, the reader will
understand and connect with that as well. A "powerful sentence" has a very vague meaning and could mean anything. I think the tone has a big part to play with it as well.
</sub>

To me, what makes a sentence powerful is the amount of emotion included. Some sentences are more powerful because the author adds a lot of his own emotions, and sometime a sentence is more powerful because it is straight to the point and little emotion is added. This way, the reader really gets to interpret the sentence in the way they want, and it opens up room for a greater opportunity to understand and make connections about what they are reading. Sentences like this seem to really stick into the reader's brain and it is something that they may think about again.

I think that there are many ways to make a sentence powerful, like emotions, imagery and vocabulary. Using certain words in a certain way that has hidden emotions also makes them very powerful, because it may seem just like a simple sentence but it's so much more. Using emotions in a sentence, mixed with descriptive words or metaphors, it can create such a powerful sentence that just makes you feel hit by the emotion itself. Imagery in a sentence makes it seem more alive, and makes you use your mind to just imagine exactly what is being written. It can create so many emotions just by thinking up the image. Vocabulary really adds into making a sentence powerful because you can change a sentence from just a boring statement of your emotions to something that really just sounds so metaphoric or important, and it makes a sentence so powerful.

Many things can make a sentence powerful. One thing that can make a sentence powerful is having it be able to relate to someone. Writing something that really happens in real life. Another idea that makes a sentence powerful are your word choices. Really writing how your character feels, not just putting, sadly he asked her to not forget him. Instead put, with tears in his eyes he grabbed her hand and whimpered don't forget him. You want your sentences to mean something and almost tell a story on its own. Showing not just telling, explaining every little detail. A third thing you can do are really powerful quotes. Ones that sand out from the rest of the writing. If the writing means something and makes the reader really think.

Most of the time a powerful sentence will stand out to a reader, sometimes the sentence will even relate to the reader. To make your sentence more powerful try using more descriptive imagery and better vocabulary. Make your sentence stand out, do not let your sentence just be average and boring. Remember to make a sentence powerful use emotions.

Emotions play a very large role in making a sentence powerful, and although the author's emotions are significant and contribute greatly to the sentence, it is the readers' comprehension that makes it powerful. If a group of people find that a sentence is powerful, it simply means that that the sentence is relatable to them. However, there could be a group that thinks the same sentence is bland, and is therefore unimportant. A sentence can be powerful to me because of my experiences and beliefs, but it might not be powerful to you. That's why I believe that it depends on the reader to decide if the sentence is powerful, based off of their emotions while reading it.
