I come from a multicultural background. I lived in Beijing, moved to Melbourne for high school and now I'm here in Durham.

I enjoy sports, such as equestrian and volleyball. Especially equestrian because I enjoy spending time with animals ( which is why I have two cats as my pets). Although I get injured a lot during training, I would say that every scar is a medal for me!

I also enjoy listening to music and painting. This past summer, I organised a charity painting exhibition with my friends as a curator. We donated all the proceeds from the exhibition to a village school. I always get a sense of achievement and power from helping others.

Lastly, one of my little hobbies that I have held on to for many years is writing poetry. Poetry helps me express my emotions very well and also helps me to record my life.

It's not the first year in the UK, so getting used to the environment is not a huge challenge to me to be honest. But Stockton on tees, Durham is a new city to me as I have never been to the north part of England as I stayed in Canterbury recently.

I chose to study education studies - psychology as I think our life is surrounded by psychology, from the society to a tiny reaction of a person.

I really look forward to study here, a new school, new life, new friends and also new teachers!

Above all, I am hoping to have a remarkable year, meeting more new friends, getting out of my comfort zone and be more diligent!
