When using the internet, one's conduct is regulated by netiquette, which is the accepted standard. Understanding how to use social media platforms and interact with others through email are necessary for practicing netiquette. Miscommunications may result from improper netiquette issues. For those that are just starting out, it is advisable to educate yourself on the rules and regulations of internet etiquette. Netiquette includes standards that take into account the special technological characteristics of the particular mode of communication, in addition to norms for conduct during conversations. 

       Internet etiquette is typically upheld by other users who are quick to point out infractions and are informed about doing so. The popularity of electronic communication has significantly changed how various social media accounts and websites are used and improved. Always keep in mind that you are interacting with people online and not solely with computers or cellphones when using the internet to communicate. Online etiquette is required, just like in the real world. In order to avoid negative effects, netiquette is needed. The secret to a better comprehension and use of the specific form of media is understanding. A few things to keep in mind whenever one uses the internet include identifying one’s self and the person they’re speaking to, using proper language, and being straightforward.

       One of the primary benefits of social media is its capacity to facilitate global connectivity among individuals. The advent of immediate communication has facilitated real-time interactions, effectively overcoming geographical constraints. Social media platforms furthermore function as a central location for the sharing of information, facilitating the development of creativity and innovation. In contemporary society, marketing, political campaigns, and social action have increasingly relied upon these techniques as indispensable instruments. Although social media offers certain advantages, it also has some limitations. The potential consequences include the development of addiction, which may have detrimental effects on both mental well-being and overall productivity. The increasing amount of disinformation and false information is an additional significant worry.

Furthermore, the prevalence of privacy concerns and cyberbullying  presents significant hazards to the safety of users. The effective use of social media is dependent upon responsible usage. It is essential for people to exercise caution when disclosing personal information on the internet and have a discerning approach towards the material they engage with. The incorporation of digital literacy and cyber hygiene practices may significantly contribute to the reduction of adverse consequences associated with the use of social media platforms. When used in a responsible manner, social media has the potential to serve as a potent instrument for facilitating beneficial transformations. The technology has the capacity to facilitate the democratization of knowledge, enhance individual empowerment and cultivate global interconnectedness. Nevertheless, it is important to exercise caution about the drawbacks of this technology and make efforts to use it in a manner that contributes to the betterment of society as a whole.

       Information is a way of obtaining new knowledge by investigating, studying, communicating, and asking a particular query. By gaining new information, intelligence is a necessity in order to avoid getting misinformation and spreading disinformation about a certain topic which could harm others whether it is their intention or not. For instance, reading a book is one of the various ways to gain new knowledge. Moreover, being reckless and more careful adds up to a personality which a broadcaster is obliged to adapt in disseminating information.

       Misinformation is spreading information unintentionally; understanding factual information incorrectly. It is something everyone should be putting an effort to scrutinize thoroughly as a way of revealing a particular truth. As it is unintentional, comprehensive knowledge ought to be present anytime to differentiate whether a topic shared is reliable enough to be trusted. For example, a person is casually scrolling through their phone and comes up with a news article which says “Presyo ng bigas, bumaba na nga ba?” Without reading rigorously through the whole article, they got the information wrong by relying on the headline. In addition, passing factual information from one person to another causes distortion which ends up being misinformation.

       Disinformation, on the other hand, is spreading false information with intentions— whether it may be bad or good. It is often biased and manipulated with regards to the topic. It is commonly used in products using propaganda advertisements wherein they make it look believable and good to the eyes of the consumers for it to get a great deal of sales. For another example of disinformation: This person is envious of their neighbor who just bought a brand new car. Out of envy, they want to make their neighbor look bad through the eyes of others and in order to do that, they spread disinformation around their village which says that their daughter is pregnant even though she is not. Spreading disinformation could ruin your reputation as people’s eyes are darted on you as you disclose incorrect facts.

       Information, misinformation, and disinformation has various differences in its way of disseminating facts. Overall, fact-checking must be done to avoid getting false information.

       In addition, addiction is also one of the dangers of the Internet. Children, teenagers, and even adults nowadays are addicted to online games which gives a really big negative impact on their lives as it serves as distraction not just in studying but in daily living in general. They tend to avoid doing homeworks, outdoor activities and other things that has something to do with their productivity in life. Due to addiction, they also neglect eating, sleeping, doing exercises, and they can't even socialize with other people in real life which negatively affects their physical, mental, and social health.

       To conclude, the internet has been so integrated into people's lives that going even a day without using it is practically impossible. Thus, after learning about the dangers of the internet, it is not really possible to entirely ignore it. However, we can set a time limit or other restrictions on its use, particularly for kids. In order to teach their kids how to use the internet responsibly, parents and instructors can keep an eye on what their kids are doing online. Additionally, we need to inform and educate individuals about internet fraud and cybercrime. Therefore, the internet can prove to be a boon for the advancement of human society if necessary precautions are taken and safety measures are adopted.

    The digital divide might be seen as a simple matter but its effect can be severe. It does not only affect a person's performance regarding their daily lives, It also affects the country. People who don't have enough access to the Internet struggle to find a job or miss out on valuable job opportunities and cannot participate in the global digital economy. Students can face significant barriers while completing schoolwork or participating in remote learning programs. Additionally, lack of internet access and poor digital literacy can have a major impact on society, contributing to deeper stratification, inequality, and misinformation. As a student, I have observed its impact on democracy. Democracy is a form of government in which all constituents are able to participate by standing for election to public office and electing others to represent their interests. People who are misinformed tend to support or vote for people who are incapable or not qualified enough to lead. This spread of misinformation was made possible through social media and other platforms that are easier to access which most people who are not exposed to reliable sources rely on. The thing about the digital divide is that people who experience it are not aware of the gap, causing them to make impulsive decisions.

   To conclude, now that we are aware of the digital divide, lets help spread awareness and reliable information for the people who don’t have enough access to the internet, to avoid misinformation and to make good use of the hard earned power of the people known as democracy.

      AI tools have shown its tremendous help in many areas such as work and education. AI tools can be a big help in work since it is available to operate for the whole day. Meaning, it is accessible at any given time. Furthermore, they are also made to function for a longer period of time and handle repetitive tasks easier (Maheswari, 2023). 

       In terms of education, one of the significant advantages of AI is personalized learning. In the digital age, many students learn on the internet using different social media platforms. With that, AI algorithms can analyze the students’ strengths and weaknesses to a specific topic, learning styles, and make educational content and give recommendations tailored to their individual needs, interest, and abilities (Melo, 2023). Moreover, the personalization guarantees that accurate instructions and academic recommendation meets the students’ needs. 

        Although AI can contribute to the areas of work and education, it also has its own disadvantages which can hinder people from working hard on specific situations. As the innovation of AI continues, the adaptation also continues to grow. With that being said, it can be a big factor that causes unemployment. There are certain tasks that are automated to use AI. This leads to job losses in industries such as manufacturing and customer service because they can displace people on working tasks that are repetitive (GeeksforGeeks, 2023).

        Certain challenges of AI in the education sector can come as hindrance. Students may only rely too much on the abilities of AI. They can just use different AI tools to do their assigned tasks. Because of overreliance, it hinders students’ capability to learn, develop or improve their critical thinking skills and think independently (Ugwu,2023). Also, AI doesn’t have certain abilities that teachers have. One of those abilities is emotional intelligence which plays a vital role in education. Teachers have the ability to touch the lives of their students through their teachings. On the other hand, AI lacks emotional intelligence making them unable to not fully understand students’ emotions and needs in education. This deficiency might restrict students’ emotional intelligence and interpersonal abilities (Ugwu,2023). 

       In conclusion, AI tools are both helpful and a hindrance to people. They offer a big help in the work and education areas, providing accessibility, making things easier, and personalized learning. On the other hand, it’s also a hindrance to those sectors since it causes unemployment, too much reliability, and lack of emotional intelligence.
