It is the first volume out of what is a two part movie, the second part releasing in 2004. This movie is linear and is broken up into distinct chapters. The Movie focuses on a character known only as "The Bride" as she works her way down a list of 5 people she aims to kill for various reasons. This movie ends on a cliff-hanger, which is suitable given that this is the first part of two halves of a movie. The main issue I have with the way Volume 1 and 2 have been split up is that it has done so in a way that results in most of the action scenes being in part 1, leaving part 2 to have much slower pacing. Throughout most of the film, there are multiple fight scenes and action as the cops work there way to the top of the building.
