I listened to episode one of this podcast. The guest, David Gomez, discussed with the host how he has brought CT skills to schools in NYC. I liked how Mr. Gomez detailed how teachers can start bringing CT skills into their classrooms. It gives a good starting point for teachers who are new to CT skills and want to begin adopting it into their classrooms.

I chose to listen to the podcast that features David Gomez. Mr. Gomez discusses with the host how he has brought CT to elementary, middle, and high schools in New York City. He discusses how the small shift of talking about the process of using CT to problem-solve can make a big impact on students' skills. He discusses how these conversations will allow students to learn from one another as well. Mr. Gomez also explains how decomposition is the best way to begin to introduce CT into the classroom.

I listened to the episode of Jamie Phillips and how she transitioned from being a teacher to a K12 technology coach. I felt a connection to this particular podcast as I was in a similar position as a 5th grade teacher, became the teacher everyone went to for help with tech, into a tech/CS teacher and now as a technology manager. I would agree with her that CT was hard for some teachers to understand how it could integrate into their core subjects. It was hard for some to see how to connect things but modeling and co-teaching with them really brought some teachers around. I like that they brought up about how it's hard for students and some teachers to realize it's not always about getting the right answer but more about the process working towards getting the right answer.
