When I was in high school, I had access to a CNC machine which would allow me to upload vectors and the machine would cut them out onto wood and other materials. Since then, I do not have regular access to a machine so I found I also enjoy carving into stone. I have only done a few, but I am pretty happy with the way they turn out. After college, I want to own a CNC so I can get back into that hobby, the things you can make are unreal. I picked this major because I just felt like it would match up the best with what I like to do. I do not really have a plan such as exactly what job I want, but I hope to find a good one in my field. As a sophomore, I haven't really had too many engineering classes, but I am eager to learn more about the field. From the classes that I've had so far, I really enjoy what I am doing. I want to enjoy my work and just have as much fun through life as possible. Another dream is to have a wood shop. I love woodworking and I want to be able to build beautiful pieces that I could maybe sell. I know it will not happen right away, but it is something to work towards. Besides those two things, I don't really know what I plan to do, but I am excited to see what the future holds. I have this bad stigma attached to reading because all through school, we have been required to read. I'm not saying it is a bad thing, but the text was always picked out for us and it usually wasn't something that interests me.
