We began by sequencing the establishing shots first. We wanted a smooth opening that was almost cinematic and that also complimented the soft and gradual opening in the audio. We managed to fit together a decent amount of footage that consisted of the river water and birds that were in mid flight, with us that cinematic feel. 
The second thing we did was introduce the artist. we did this by shooting melia at all different angles and then when editing we made quick second flashes of thes angles, which gave us a strong introduction and communicated to the audience who this song is about.
Next we cut up the base tracks using the marks that were made that goes in time with the beat of the song. We used the razor tool and held down the shift button to do this as quick and efficient as possible.
We kept referring back to the story board throughout to check if were are sticking by our plan, overall and so far i believe that we have stuck to the story board as much as possible considering the quality and quantity of footage we had filmed .

So our next steps is to try to complete the whole sequence so that we can present our second rough cut to our audience and the teachers. 
We definitely need to improve on the efficiency and timing of our editing so that we get as much done as possible in that one session.
