This drawing was created in 2017 after Zaria flew back from Greenland. She was invited by NASA to join the "Operation Icebridge". She flew on 12 hour flights, only 1500 feet above glaciers, sea ice, and mountaintops. She witnessed an entirely new perspective of the ice from looking down. This piece of drawing is meant to send the message of climate change of the earth. Polar ice melting will lead to serious crisis for mankind. Temperature rising causes ice melting faster than it supposed to be. It matters to the whole world because people are living on this beautiful planet. Encouraging people to change their lifestyles more environmental friendly is the theme of this drawing. She is trying to get people reduce their carbon footprint in many ways, simply drive less miles, eat less meat, and turn off lights on the way out.

Zaria Forman used color of white, grey, and light blue for the drawing. With these bright colors, stronger visual impact was created to show viewers how it looks like from sky. Zaria wants to show the real scene that she saw on the plane. Ice is white and its shadow is in grey. Melting ice become blue to be part of the ocean. Most of the drawing is grey because ice has melted, it's not flat anymore.
