The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines technology as “the practical application of knowledge especially in a particular area.” Recently, technology has been introduced in the medical field with the goal to address these cost and access issues and offset growing healthcare costs in many ways. However, many technologies providing important healthcare services and information largely depend on individuals’ income and location.

This exhibit reveals medical advancements made throughout time and the issues with access that came with them. Hopefully, this Padlet will provide more insight into how society can continue its technological progress and the issues it must tackle to ensure these technologies can benefit as many people as possible and be accessed and used by everyone.
