One of them was an improved telescope that can magnify much more and with the telescope he also discovered four of Jupiter's moons. These discoveries were important because they proved the Heliocentric Theory that the Earth revolved around the Sun. Back then, people thought that only the Earth had a moon, but with discovering that Jupiter also had moons, it change all the concepts that they used in that time. He experimented on air pressure, composition of the atmosphere, and discovered the properties of air. He is credited for discovering oxygen. This changed in a way because in science, people thought that there were only 4 elements: air, earth, water, and fire. With this discovery, there is proof of more elements. Then during the Renaissance and the Enlightenment, two major figures appeared, Francis Bacon and Descates. They used three of the main points of the scientific method. Later, many scientist continued to add to the scientific method including Newton, Einstein, and Popper. One of them was that white light was composed of many lights. He also discovered how to find the slopes of a curve line leading a way for calculus. But one of his most important discoveries was gravity. It happen when Newton was at his vacation and he notice an apple fall from a tree. Because of this, He stated on the investigation of gravity.
