Khan Academy is a free organization that provides educational videos and support. Parents and students can sign up for free and gain access to a variety of math concepts. It is available anywhere with internet. It can also be downloaded as an app on your phone or tablet. One con to this website is that it is less interactive than meeting face to face with a teacher or tutor.

This is an easily accessible website for parents to help their students practice math concepts in hands-on and interactive way. IXL has a free 30 day trial and after that the prices vary depending on what you are looking for, starting at $10 per month for one child. One con to this resource is that it can sometimes be too repetitive and it isn't the same as working hands on with math concepts in person.

Steve Barkley is an educational consultant for school districts, teacher organizations, and state departments of education. His main goal is to facilitate change for people to reach students and prepare them for the future. His podcast is a helpful resource because he has a series of episodes specifically meant for parents and caregivers where he dives into effective ways they can support their children when it comes to math. Availbale through Apple podcasts or Spotify. This resource is free to listen to if you are already a Spotify or Apple music listener. One con to this resource is that the speakers only make up for a few perspectives because you can only hear from so many people.

This is a great teaching resource to show kids before diving into adding and subtracting. It also has simple equation examples to practice with students. Not only is this fun and engaging, it is practical and helps students to understand the concepts in another way other than using their workbooks. It is free to watch on YouTube. One con to this resource is that there isn't a "challenge" element to more advanced learners.

Math Choice Board

This is a fun way for students to use the power of choice and give them a sense of control. This resource would probably be better for older kids (3rd-5th and middle school). This is an example of a math choice board that could be given to students as a fun way to practice preparing for a test, or just as a fun Friday option for kids to explore different math concepts. This resource is free to make it on your own if you have the materials (printer, markers, poster board) or you can buy pre-made templates off of the website or Teachers Pay Teachers. One con to this resource is that if students cannot be responsible in choosing their own activity, they might lose their freedom to choose for themselves and the teacher might have to pick for them.

This is a great resource for upper elementary teachers to model to their students so they can become more independent in their math practices. This can be posted in the classroom wherever would be most convenient for students to easily refer to. One con to this is that it is only used in math but would also be helpful if it implemented other subjects too. This resource is free or similar ones can be purchased on teacher websites such as Teachers Pay Teachers.

This free wbesite offers lessons, professional development, videos, and more for paraprofessionals. It is easy to navigate and is a great way to provide students with high quality teaching examples that are effective. One con to youcubed is that if you are not familiar with how to navigate it, it can be overwhelming in the beginning if you don't take the time to understand how to use it and experience the benefits.

This is an amazing resource that it is filled with any and all math terms you could possibly think of. This is something paraprofessionals can show their students how to use during independent work time. This resource is free to access if you have internet connection. The only con to this resource that I found was that there aren't many examples that connect to the defintion of the terms, it is mainly just how to define the math term.
