While they were still in the war Russia was facing a lot of hits from Germany, Russia showed a lot of resentment towards the Tzar though.

On April 6, 1917 the US had noticed that the Germans had used military strategies of unrestricted submarine warfares. On Jan. 1917 Minister Arthur Zimmerman sent a "Secret" telegram to Mexico in thought to make Mexico Germany's ally and promised them a substantial piece of land that they had lost to the US. On April 2, 1917 President Wilson went to request a declaration of war against Germany. As the war went on the US was able to defeat Germany.

Many Americans at that time just wanted the US to stay out of the conflict going on.

The assassination of the Archduke was one of the biggest events that led to WW1. The Archduke was assassinated by Gavrilo Princip in Sarajevo, as the car was still moving the highness had fallen to his knees and the guard had grabbed the archduke's head to prevent his head from falling back. As time went on after the archduke's death on June 28, 1914 the streets were decorated for his death in memory due to the Mayor's request. The assassination team that Gavrilo was in was "The Black hand" it was a secret nationalism group.

This triggered many people to be mad but relieved at the same time because the Archduke wouldn't really do much.

Allied nations met at the Palace of Versailles, about 39 nations attended this event. The " Big Three" were stupendous allied powers which were Great Britain, The US, and the Soviet Union. All the Big Three wanted was peace without having someone to win. They wanted to be able to punish the central powers especially Germany because they had made the biggest effect on ww1, they wanted Germany to pay about $33 billion and lose 100,000 men and land as well. This event ended up taking a lot from the central powers like splitting up Austria-Hungary. The Treaty of Versailles ended up being able to formally end ww1 on June 28,1919.

The Treaty hurt more societies especially Germany more than the people because it caused them to lose a lot of land and pay debts. America thought that the Treaty was too cruel on Germany and their Congress kept refusing it.
