Theme 1: Who Am I ? That's a question i never really put alot of thought into. Well i would start out by saying I'm an African American women who was raised by my mother and sister in Los Angeles California. I attended American Career college where i obtained a Pharmacy Technician License but i did not continue to pursue a career i Pharmacy. I ended up getting pregnant with oldest son who is now 16 and my life ended up taking a different path.
2.Who do I pretend to be ? I dont pretend to be anyone. I am comfortable wit the person I have become there's no one in the world I would want to be except me.
3.Who do people think I am ? My family thinks I am a brave young women who has been through alot of ups and downs in my lifetime.
4:Who do you wish to be? I dont wish to be anybody but myself.
5: How has race or ethnic identity played a role in any of these responses ? Well to be honest i have dealt with racial profiling and especially my sons. so i would say me being an african american women has made me grow thick skin.

Theme 2: First Experience With Race Activity and Theme
1:What was your first experience with race ? When I was 6 my neighbors were white and they had a daughter and her name was emma. She was in my class and at school we would always play together. So one day we were both in the backyard playing with each other from our gates that divided our backyards. Out of no where her older sister came and snatched emma and told her she dont want her playing with a girl like me .
2:How old were you ? I had just turned 6 years old.
3:What emotions do you associate with the experience ? I was sad and confused as to why she did not want her playing with a person that looked like me.
4:Have you ever talked about the experience ? I talked about the experience with my then older cousin. She told me in this world i will run across people like her and even worse. She told me to not let that effect the way i feel towards people and keep a humble heart.
5:How have your earlier experience with race shape your worldview ? I look at this world for what it is i accepted the fact that because the color of my skin will always and forever be looked down upon their is nothing i can do to change people mindset who feel any kind of negativity towards me because of how i look. So i will continue to live the best life i can live and do the best i can raising my children in the cold world.
Theme 3: Positive Sense of Self Brainstorm
