I chose this theme because the main characters struggle to with the harsh ways they rule their lives and still wake up every morning to chase their dreams. The family always wanted a better and bigger house and by the end of the book they got it. Bennetha wanted to be a doctor and never stopped chasing her dream no matter what anyone said.
