Her father is the owner of Longbourn state, but given that he does not have a son to inherit the property, the same must go to a cousin of his, leaving his daughters economically unsustained when he dies. It is then a matter of great importance for at least one of the sisters to marry well. The move of a wealthy gentleman to the neighborhood seems to be what this ladies have been waiting for. 
In my opinion, its a very good book and i fell iin love with the characters and the places. Together with his cousin Dudley they wish that he didn't exist at all and make him live in the cupboard under the stairs. Harry though, is special. He finds out that he is a wizard and that he is to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to learn magic. He makes new friends, goes on adventures and battle very bad villians. Only when he arrives at Hogwarts does he realise how special he actually is…
we think it's a bvery interesting book. family friendly and teaches many lections for life.
