-Lag time of 5-10 minutes between readings in the interstitial fluid and the current blood glucose
-The Libre, unlike a continuous glucose monitor, does not alert you if your blood glucose is going high or low unless the sensor is scanned
-Patients may have possible skin reaction to the skin adhesive
-Cost of the sensor is $89 each which test strips cost $0.75/strip
-Initial accuracy of glucose readings may be reduced the first day after insertion due to an initial inflammation process

-Glucose checks are quick, convenient, and painless
-No meter calibration needed
-Libre reader displays a graph of blood glucose readings for the last 8 hours and automatically stores reading every 15 minutes
-Readings inform the user if they are trending high, low, or staying steady
-Data can be downloaded to a PDF and shared with your physician
-Each sensor lasts for 14 days of wear with the accuracy of results at 86.7% sensor vs. capillary blood glucose values. Average difference between the Libre and meter is 11%
-Sensor insertion is painless
-Can monitor blood ketones with same meter
-Libre reader includes a rapid-acting insulin calculator. Can calculate corrections for above target BG and to cover carb-containing foods based on ratios entered by provider
-Cost is lower than a continuous glucose monitor

As a mom of a Type 1 Diabetic child, I have experienced many different monitoring systems and glucometers. Diabetes in a child changes their lives, those of their caregivers, and leaves you with a constant sense of anxiety. My daughter has currently been using the Freestyle Libre for the past 9 months and we have been waiting for the LibreLink to be approved for use in the US. This technology has literally changed our lives. I am now able to monitor trends and determine where her blood glucose levels are headed. The Libre also saves us so many "ouchies" related to the finger sticks that have started to cause callouses on her fingertips. In a world where Diabetes rules our lives, the LibreLink has given us back some control and has helped to better regulate my daughter's blood sugars. I would highly recommend this affordable system to any parent who was dealing with a Type 1 diabetic.

Top Strengths:
1. Achiever
2. Focus
3. Developer
4. Realtor
5. Learner

I chose Daisy in order to initiate the process change in the organization. As a developer, Daisy will be able to help build the stakeholders team through relationship building.

The analytical side of Angelica will assist the team in strategically planning the implementation process and to evaluate the effectiveness of the process.

Randall was chosen for the group project due to his strong sense of responsibility. He will be the point person of the group and will keep the group accountable.

For the strategic planning and trouble shooting through the implementation I chose Sheila for the group. She will be the quick thinker of our group and be able to help with any alternate implementation plans.

The final group member will be Carter. Carter's strength is his communication so he will be in charge of our group presentation and getting the buy in from the physician staff.
