They were all starving and dying. Kids were so skinny because they couldn’t eat and some people were begging for food.

I was surprised how clean it was. I expected th camp to see, more bleak and much more disorganized. It seems nice even though truly for the Jews there, it’s a living hell.

I wonder how the holocaust survivors thinks of Aushwitzs. Is it the same way we see it now? Or they just want to put it in the back of there head and forget those tragic times.

I believe the reason why they where executed naked is because they can reuse the clothing for the next incoming prisoners since they did not want to make new ones since it would be a waste of money for them.

I admire the Jews that comes to visit that place. The ones that comes to set flowers for there family or loved ones that passed away during the Holocaust.

I thought that the camp would be very dreary like in movies, but it wasn’t it was pretty clean for a concentration camp.

The concentration camps were really clean looking and don't look like extreme death camps. I hated seeing the photos and statues of the starving people because it made my bones hurt. I wonder if being executed naked made it easier to reuse clothes and clean up afterwards. I wonder how they came up with the idea to put Jews in tiny jail cells with small windows to use up all the oxygen. I learned that they shot them while naked and facing towards the wall at the death wall.

I realized that Auschwitzs does not look as dreary in the day as I imagined. When I saw the images of all of the people's shoes, I realized that there were so many people affected by this inhuman event. I learned that the Jewish we also like the guinea pigs, getting experiments on all of the chemicals. The Jews were killed in tragic ways such as walking to a walk and getting shot. I learned that there was a lot going on in Auschwitzs. Not only were the jews punished, but others from different ethnic backgrounds were forced into labor and to work for the Germans. The Nazis were taking away possessions. Shoes, clothes, hygienic products were all taken away from the prisoners. If one were to be found with anything, it would be a direct kill.

Often, the Nazis took the Jews to a wall and shot them right in the head. This wall was called the Execution Wall. The jews were sometimes experimented on. Some prisoners were told to take showers, but the Germans would trick them. The Germans would lock the Jews in chambers and release poisonous gas from the shower heads. The jews would inhale this, and many would die. Later, the Nazis would clean out the chambers, and get ready for another batch of prisoners. Sometimes, around 700 jews were packed into gas chambers and left to die. Many with disabilities and illnesses would always get killed before anyone else.

The Holocaust was a tragic event, and more than 6 million jews and people from different ethnic backgrounds died there.

Auschwitz tortured the Jews in many different ways that were just impossible to conceive. The Zyklon B gas that was used to gas the Jews were terrible, and the way they preserved the Jewish belongings was weird.
I wonder why the Jews’ belongings were preserved, and if they had won the war, what they would do with their belongings.
I wonder what they were trying to do with the children, and why Dr. Mengele had gotten his hands on most twins and other people to do experiments on them. What did Hitler think about Dr. Mengele and what he was doing?

I never knew that the wall full of flowers was meant for the people to get killed on the head facing the wall. Auschwitz was also the camp that was the most deadliest and the mass majority of Jews were killed there. I wonder why the Auschwitz people took all of the Jews belongings? What they used their belongings for? Not only the Jews, but also people from other races were being tortured and forced to work as labor. Why do our own species of people have to do this to our own human culture? It was just sad and cruel just to think about all those people getting killed, but the people who actually were witnesses probably felt even worse than what we do today.

I thought more of the stuff would be outside but they were all inside buildings that look normal like they could’ve been town homes or apartments.

- They had to go through so many difficulties and so much torment that we can't even begin to comprehend.
- While watching the video we also have to understand that most ofthe German civilian population didn't know this was happening to Jews. They agreed with Hitler because they believed he could ale them a world superpower again so we have to remember that most of the German people didn't know about concentration camps until after the holocaust had ended.
- I learned that many of the ways Jews were killed were so herendous. I have know some of the ways like gas chambers and crematoria but some of these ways like starving, putting them in a room until they run out of oxygen just shocked me and mad every me madand sad at the same time.
-Before I watched the video I didn't know exactly what the wall was. I did not know it was where the would shoot them and kill the.
- I wonder how much Hitler and the nazis spent trying to wipe out the Jewish population. This is a serious question. They had to pay for all this stuff and build it like the concentration camps, the showers, the crematories and they also had to pay for the gas and even though they didn't give them much food hay still had to. I'm just curious.
- I wonder if any of the other political leaders I Germany knew about these concentration camps. Surely not everyone agreed with it. Some of them were probably kept in the dark and didn't know about the plan for them U till it was too late. Didn't holster keep the holocaust a secret form other political leaders in Germany?

I was very disturbed to see the poor kid who wa super skinny because he was starving and not getting enough food he was so skinny that you could see his ribs and spine and other bones too.

Looking at the pictures of the Jewish prisoners really helped me see just how terribly they were treated. We will never know every single detail but these provided a little more insight as to what happened to them in the camps.
When I saw all of the cans of gas that were used to kill the Jews that really scared me, especially knowing that those were only a fraction of all the cans used during the war.

Comment: it's so inconceivable how much killing and terror can come from a person with so much given power, and how he could feel that he had a right to take the lives of thousands of people. There's so much good in this world that the Jews never got to experience and instead, death, pain and suffering was grabbing at them every which way with other people (nazis) enforcing it.
Comment: knowing that this happened makes me want to make sure something like this could never happen again because imaginging losing friends and being stripped away from my parents and siblings makes me so utterly terrified there are no words to explain how that felt for the Jews and I really hope we learn from this history.
