It is using hydrochloric acid to digest me, which is much more powerful than saliva. This acid is so powerful that the stomach has to protect itself from the acid, by coating itself in mucus. It is sucking the nutrients out of me! My nutrients are being absorbed through the walls of the small intestine and then put into the blood stream.
