Post a visual example of one of these types of communication to the Padlet wall below. To begin your entry, double-click on an empty area on the wall. Take a look at what others post as well and offer comments if you wish. When you have finished, close out of the tab/window or click the Back button in your browser. (To post on the wall, double-click on any open space and a text box should appear for your entry. Notice the icons located at the bottom of the box which allow for audio, video, photos and attachments. When you are finished, just click anywhere outside of the box to save your entry. If you wish to edit your post, click anywhere in the box and a small menu will appear in the upper right corner of your post- click on the pencil icon to edit. You may also comment on the posts of others by clicking on 'Add Comment' at the bottom of the textbox.)

This an excellent example of asynchronous mobile learning which most learners today are accustomed to. Today’s learners are born tech-savvy and learn best through mobile learning environments.

The traditional chalkboard approach is no longer relevant today and teachers should move away from teacher centred learning environments to learner centred based learning environments. Learners want to be active participants not passive recipients of content. The online learning has that element to engage participants. Sometimes in a face-to-face learning environment, teachers move with few gifted learners and leave behind the majority bored to death. In an asynchronous learning environment, each learner has to ‘click’ something, time is not an issue like in synchronous learning where others are sit and watch the privileged learners take part. In an asynchronous classroom, all learners must submit and a teacher can then make a follow up.
