Then he started the Bolsheviks. Soon these Bolsheviks, were governing Russia. Eventually the government was split into two, the Bolsheviks (Reds)  and the Tsarists Government (Whites). There was a lot of back and fourth in this Civil War, but the Bolsheviks pulled through and gained control of Russia. He died. He became leader of the USSR, which at the time his health was already declining. His death let an even more controversial leader in, Joseph Stalin.
