The story was mainly about a little boy named Moonshadow that moved from China to America were his father is living and learned how to fit in and live there but it was very difficult to even survive 



Chinese Immigration 
 The major event I'm going to be talking about is the Chinese immigration that happened during the late 1800's. The Chinese Revolution was the act of Chinese people immigrating to America as slaves around the time of the gold rush. Chinese immigrants are one of the largest foreign-born groups in the United States. The people who were immigrated were mainly men who worked for a while and return home with the savings that they had. Many of the slaves worked as railroad construction crews which were low paying jobs. Many of the immigrants after the gold rush opened up many business in such as restaurants in laundry mats. This eventually led to the Chinese Exclusion Act which was created because other immigrants did not like the fact that the Chinese we're getting the jobs  and wanted them to leave. The Chinese Exclusion Act basically stoped Chinese immigration for over a century so no more Chinese immigrated to America. This book related to the topic because it really talks about how Chinese immigrants lived back then and how hard it was for them to live.  it showed  the perspective somebody who is living in America during that time and the day-to-day things that they did. In the store you would tell you how if you are Chinese and you were walking down the street you can get beat up so it was a very scary to live back then if you are that race. It showed us a first-hand experience of Moonshadow who lives through what experience of living back there in that terrible situation.
