What I love most is connecting with other young authors in the community. It's amazing seeing how others bring their stories to life! ✍️

You can ask to add strategies for parents to support students, which has allowed me to refine and shine emails. It is a big time saver, and I have found a more robust response that I might not have had the time to create after a long, busy day.

Katrina Catullo-First Grade Teacher.

I used the Lesson Plan Generator to create a quick 5 minute lesson incorporating our math unit topic (penguins) into a decodable passage that would help students practice our current phonics topic, consonant blends. I printed out the lesson plan, created a decodable passage (also from Magic School), printed that, and then used it during my small group instruction time. Saved me a lot of time, and was a great way to start our small group time. The students really enjoyed it! I liked that the lesson plan included extension activities to use with my students who had a solid understanding of the phonics topic, and needed a bit more.

Grayes - 3rd Grade

I used MagicSchool to generate feedback for students during their writing process. After students completed their first draft, MagicSchool created a one page set of feedback for students based on their areas of strength, areas for growth, and writing mechanics. The feedback was tailored to 3rd grade students, was very positive, and actionable. I printed the feedback and highlighted key ideas for students to work on. They were able to use this feedback page to improve their own writing before coming to a conference with the teacher. Students were all able to spend an additional 1-2 class periods improving their work using the feedback form as their guide!
