I am learning how to foster discussion and collaboration (From me collaborating and discussing) and using exciting tools that can help make it easier. Some of these practical tools could help ease the stress of reading and learning in the classroom.

I know that the IB is implemented in different ways in different schools, but it's nice to hear other practices that are implemented in participants schools, and it's making me aware of some of the traditionalist ideas I still have that maybe I should move away from.

In what ways can I apply learning from this workshop in my own school?

I was already planning on focusing on the learner profile after Golden Week, even before really getting into creating a POI with this group. I like some of the ideas generated for parents as ways to also help staff that is new to the IB embrace the learner profile.
I really like the idea of students writing, or at least contributing to their own report cards. Or potentially doing the learning stories at the end of each UOI.
I definitely think Jigsaw reading is a great way to cover material and differentiate for our students.
