Background: New Assessment Types proposed In QAC May 2021.The following Assessment Types were proposed:1. Student Choice: A specific range of assessment types are offered in order to complete the required task (e.g. Essay, Report, Presentation). The student makes a choice as to which Type they use for the assessment. It is intended that this new Type will provide flexibility in assessment choice within a module. 2. Simulation: Assessment of application of knowledge and practical skills to real-world problems via simulation of an event or situation that reproduces the real-life characteristics with which a learner physically or virtually interacts. 3.
