Unique childhood - 2000-2014

My sister and I grew up with a brother with special needs, and it came with many unexpected transitions. This upbringing also made my sister and I advocates for people with special needs.

Unexpected family loss - 2014

This was my first major loss, and it was very unexpected. It of course still impacts my family today and while life has become easier now, I feel that my family is constantly experiencing this grief. This experience made me who I am today and has made me a more compassionate person.

Began high school - 2015

I grew a lot in high school which was a transition that I needed. I was very shy throughout grade school, and playing sports and being involved in high school helped me tremendously. I learned how to adapt to new environments, and also got my license in 2016.

Moved to college! - August 2019

Moved to ISU, and rushed a sorority that changed my life and greatly helped my transition to college.

Family member lost to cancer - August 2019

The loss of my uncle was hard, but it was expected. He had been battling cancer for almost 18 years, and was ready to stop fighting. This was a transition for the whole family, but especially my aunt.

Foster sister joins the family! - May 2019

She was 5 when she came to us! Her addition to the family was exciting but scary, and it came with growing pains as we learned about her, her past, and how our family would navigate that.

Moved to CO for an internship - Jan. 2023

This came with a TON of transitions, but it was a scary experience that turned into the best decision of my life!

Sent home for Covid - March 2020

Moved back from CO, began grad school - May 2023
