Student 1: By using the Pythagorean theorem, we can find the other side length of the parallelogram. Now we have the base, height, and all side lengths of the parallelogram.

Student 2: So our planter will be in the shape of a parallelogram, with the longer sides being 26 inches and the shorter sides being 10 inches. This gives us a perimeter of 72 inches.
Student 3: By taking the base (26 inches) by the height (8 inches) our area will be 208 square inches.
Student 1: If we want our planter to be 12 inches deep, then we know we have 2,496 cubic inches of space in our planter.
