In today's world social change for the LGBTQ+ community is still continuing to grow but unfortunately due to bigotry and close-mindedness, it wasn't always that way. The idea of minority influence is that a smaller number of individuals are able to influence the opinions or behaviors of the group (Ch. 7.1 Minority Influence: Resisting Group Pressure.) In this matter, the LGBTQ+ community is still teaching the majority of people to see who their partner is, does not matter in any case nor does it have any influence on how many rights you have, at the end of the day love is love. That is why the LGBTQ+ community is still fighting to have basic rights here in the US and in other countries. Though the fight is still going strong, there are still some victories such as same-sex adoption and marriage!

This quiz allows for "self-disclosure of one’s own needs and desires, which allows the partner to become aware of the needs of the other and attempt to meet them if possible" (8.2 Making Relationships Last.) Knowing your partners love language brings both the communication and vulnerability aspects into a relationship. In which each of you can discuss to make your partner feel seen because both of you would be attempting to support one another's needs and desires. In this case they specify on road rage shootings which are categorized as emotional or impulsive decisions. These types of decisions are stated as aggression that is acted on with a small amount of forethought or intent, that is primarily determined by impulsive emotions (10.1 Defining Aggression.) When road rage incidents happen that lead to the pull of a trigger the aggressor was not looking for any positive outcomes to the situation resulting in ultimately shooting at or killing another person. This cheer team must have practiced this routine over and over again and nailed that pyramid so many times! With that being said sometimes nerves get in the way and no matter how many times you do something perfectly right, sometimes when others are around, certain things such as this stunt doesn't go the way it's expected to. This brings me to the fact that social inhibition is the tendency to perform tasks poorly and/or slowly in the presence of others (11.2 Social Facilitation and Social Inhibition.) Unfortunately, I was correct. Specifically on stereotypes which are the positive or negative beliefs that people hold about the characteristics of a social group (Ch, 12 Prejudice, stereotypes, and discrimination.) My theory was to see if the Mexican stereotype was going to come up right away or if the internet was even going to try to hide it even a little bit on Google images. This drawing was the third one to show up. It just goes to show that this stereotype of the Mexican culture is still very prevalent. Not all of us wear sombreros, ponchos, or have thick mustaches. Some of us are fair-skinned, dark-skinned, and have colored eyes, or red hair. And also, we are not an ignorant someone's Halloween costume!

This website also showcases the idea of social responsibility norm. This type of altruism represents the belief that people should attempt to help others in need of assistance with no future reward or payback of any kind (9.1 Social Norms for Helping.) I also wanted to add that if helping a charity might seem like too much of a workload, there are other things we're able to do as well even if it's small, such as helping an elderly person cross the street or holding the door open for another person without expecting a thank you.
