In december 2022, I graduated from kindergarden to primary school. I remember how excited I was to begin this new chapter in my life, but I was also very scared.

My heart was broken by my parents' decision to get a divorce. I had never felt such sadness in my heart.

My mom decided to take my sibling and I on a trip around Colombia! I was thrilled to see the wonders that this country hides. I was very young but was able to interact with different people that helped me understand life a bit.

2007

In December 2007 I graduated from primary school to high school. I remember being nervous because I knew it was going to be difficult and that it was only going to get more challenging.

I fell in love for the first time! I met a boy who was so easygoing and had a pretty face. He was never shy and participated in all of our classes, so I started asking him questions about the topics I found difficult and he was always so eager to teach me.

Everybody was turning 15! (so was I)

I enjoyed this year very much because it was a year full of parties and get together with friends to celebrate our 15s! I felt like a grown-up without all responsibilities because I was hanging out with my friends until very late. I must confess, it was the first time I ever tasted alcohol but I didn't like it.

Finally! I graduated from high school in 2013. I felt so grateful for completing this step in my life and I was so excited to live the next step.

2014

I met the man of my dreams! We had crossed paths before but never had the chance to talk and get to know each other. We went on dates and spent a lot of quality time while I was starting college.

2017

This was a devastating year in my life. My mom was jobless and we had no income to survive, so I decided to start working just so I could help at home and also finance my studies. But life had different plans and I had to quit studying.

2020

I was able to find a steady job that could help me resume my studies but COVID happened so I lost all opportunities to continue with my degree, I began to feel depressed and anxious about life.

My lovely boyfriend at the time proposed to me. We got married in December and moved together the same year. He helped me get back on track and give it another try to my degree.

I got into UNAD! I found this great opportunity to study wherever and whenever I can, so I can keep my job and fight one more time to get my diploma in foreign language Teaching!
