I want to become a preschool teacher. Preschool teachers provide children with the skills they will need to proceed into kindergarten. They make a little more that $28,000 a year. (Occupation) I want to be able to teach children in a fun and inviting way. I want the children to be able to count on my and respect me, too.

I am also considering elementary teaching. Elementary teachers teach students basic academic, social, and other formative skills in public or private school. They also can make about $54,000 a year. (Zaphyr) My goal would be to become a teacher that students look up too and could ask me anything.

Another career that I am looking into is Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologists conduct medical analysis, analyze laboratory findings to check the results, and collect and study blood samples using microscopic techniques. They have to take many science courses which is good for me because I love science.

The final career is a Veterinarian. Veterinarians examine animals to determine injuries and diseases and treat sick or injured animals. I love animals and would love to be able to take care of them as well. (29-1131.00)

I want to become a preschool teacher, that is my goal. To help me reach my goal I am taking a class at the Hurin Area Technical Center called Professions in Education. This class lets me get hands on experience working with children. Also, I have work experience through this class at the Harbor Beach Community Schools Head Start Preschool. After I finish high school I will be attending Saginaw Valley State University to begin my teaching career.
