The IPARD framework concretises thinking, especially for student leaders starting out on their service learning journey. It will be useful in guiding them on how to think about their respective projects, and enable teachers to also have clear overview of the progress of their projects

Before this session, I thought that social services was planned through knowing what they like and just entertaining them. I would use the IPAR framework to guide other students. Firstly, I would help them in understanding who they want to serve and let them generate their own creative and innovative ideas. After planning, we would carry out our project together followed by reflection of how we could improve or reach out to more people. Lastly, I would suggest that we celebrate our progress and success so far with something they all enjoy.
