Nur die Plattformen LinkedIn Learning und O'Reilly Online Learning sind weiterhin nicht zugänglich, denn die erfordern ein Shibboleth Login. Außerdem ist das VPN auf diesen "Bibliotheksbetrieb" beschränkt, d.h. man erreicht via VPN auch keine anderen Dienste oder Server innerhalb der Uni DuE. The topic of this webseminar is how to search for Japan-related materials in Japanese and/or western languages that are available in Germany. The overview includes the basic search tools CrossAsia Search, the OPAC of the East Asia Department, the StaBiKat and the German Union Catalogue of Serials (Zeitschriftendatenbank, ZDB). In addition services such as the special inter-library-loan system called „Blauer Leihverkehr“, the possibility of acquisition requests and the access to Japan-related databases will be introduced.

Januar 2023 wurde in den Räumen des IN-EAST ein Büchergeschenk der Stadt Wuhan an die Ostasiensammlung der Uni-Bibliothek überreicht. Etwa 200 Bücher, überwiegend auf Chinesisch, waren beim Chinafest in Duisburg vom 9. bis 11. September 2022 auf dem Stand der Stadt Wuhan präsentiert und anschließend als Geschenk an die Stadt Duisburg übergeben worden. Sie sollen in der Uni-Bibliothek nach ihrer Katalogisierung allen interessierten Uni-Angehörigen und Duisburger Bürgern zur Verfügung stehen.
Die Stadt Duisburg war vertreten durch die 1. Bürgermeisterin Edeltraud Klabuhn (4. v.l.), den China-Beauftragen Markus Teuber (3. v.l.), vom Referat für Chinaangelegenheiten Johannes Grünhage (Leitung) (4. v.l.) und Christiane Gollan (ganz rechts) sowie die Geschäftsführerin von China Business Network Duisburg Kai Yu (2. v.r.).
