         <title>The MRS 130 Extruder</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Gneuss MRS 130 Extruder is used for efficient degassing and extrusion of polymer melts.<br>The Extruder ist seperated in 3 sections, which are lined up in extrusion direction (left to right in the picture).&nbsp;<br><br>The first section is the entry screw, which feeds the extruder with material supplied in the hopper (top left in the picture).&nbsp;<br><br>The second section is called the MRS-section, which is special to gneuss extruders.&nbsp; In this area the polymer melt is delivered into a large single screw drum. The drum contains 8 small extruder barrels, parallel to the main screw axis, in which smaller rotating "satellite" screws continue extruding the melt.&nbsp;<br><br>The third section ist the outlet screw, in which the melt is pressurized to use it for further applications.<br><br>(see the video for further visualization)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Each of the aforementioned sections consists of smaller heating sections with at least one heating element and a temperature sensor. These sections are seperately regulated by the temperature control to hold the desired temperature of the polymer melt.&nbsp;<br><br>In addition to that, pressure sensors are distributed along the extruder, which are important for safety reasons, but also for further processing e.g. melt-filters, because they require a certain minimal amount of melt-pressure to function.<br><br>The MRS-section is set under vacuum and due to the high surface area delivered by the satellite screws, volatiles can&nbsp; efficiently and freely be evacuated. In that way the polymer-melt is chemically purified.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>To put it simple, the extruder is used for recycling polymer-melts.&nbsp;<br><br>This is most commonly achieved by combining it with a melt-filter. The extruder removes all the chemical contamination and the filter filters out mechanical impurities. The MRS-Extruder does not necessary need any pre-treated material to return food-grade material.<br><br>Some examples are:<br><br></div><ul><li>bottle to bottle recycling</li><li>thermoforming sheet</li><li>strapping tape</li><li>PE/PP Recycling</li><li>PA degassing</li><li>MRS Mixing Technology</li><li>Direct recycling of fiber and film waste</li><li>Removal and recovery of caprolactam in nylon processing</li></ul>]]></description>
