It's a great way to introduce the land acknowledgement to younger grades. It's a very heavy topic that is made lighter by adding movements and using kid-friendly language. We could create our own class land acknowledgement with sing-song and movements as well.

The younger kids would enjoy circle time and having these kinds of movements. This is a great way to start appreciating the land. You can also adapt this into a yoga stretch during gym class.

We believe we can incorporate this into the primary classes as it a great way to introduce the land acknowledgment in the classroom rather than just reading it as it can allow students to feel connected and appreciate the land we share. It can be adapted in the junior grade by adding the whys and understanding the importance of it by expanding on it. It can be integrated in different subjects like Drama or Art to develop better understanding.
