Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader? is a trivia game inspired by the American game show of the same name. The player will be asked to answer a series of 10 multiple choice questions, spanning subjects and topics from the Philippine curriculum for first to fifth graders. There will be a selection of 5 questions to choose from per grade level, and the player will have to answer 2 to progress to the next grade. The questions will fall under the following categories/subjects: Math, Science, Araling Panlipunan/Social Science, and English.

The point system is as follows: 10 points for first grade questions, 20 points for second grade questions, and so on, the highest being the fifth grade questions worth 50 points. The highest possible score a player can get is 300 points. If the player answers correctly, they will get the amount of designated points. However, if the player answers incorrectly, no points will be added to their total.

The player will also have access to two “cheats” — Hint and Reveal. Hint gives the player a clue regarding the answer to the specific question, while Reveal simply answers the question for the player. Both cheats can only be used once, and the player will only get half of the points for the question they used a cheat for. For example, if the player uses a cheat on a third grade question, which is worth 30 points, they will only get 15 points.
