         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><ul><li><p>Two developmentally appropriate classroom activities to support development of phonemic awarness is 1.<strong> Rhyme Time-  </strong>this is when students will work in a alrge group with the teacher. The teacher will pick a word and the students will have to come u with as much words as possible that rhyme. The second activity is a simple <strong>match game - </strong>students will have to match the ending sound to the correct word. </p></li><li><p>One at-home activity and one website to assist families support development of phonemic awarness is a simple game of ispy! Islpy always students to identify a sound to an object in spoken words.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><ul><li><p>Two developmentally appropriate classroom activities to support development of phonics is 1. Blending letter sound game. Create word cards with 1/2 the spelling of word. Give each student a card and have the students match the sounds together to find the correct words. Secondly, create a "scavenger hunt" that students have to match the visual picture to the letter sound on their card.</p></li><li><p>One at-home activity and one website to assist families with developing phonics at home is "letter scavenger hunt" pick a letter like B and say "find 5 things that start with a B"</p></li></ul>]]></description>

Reading aloud to your students can help grow their vocabulary. Make sure to stop at words your students may not know or may be new. 2. Vocabulary tests with matching. Give students new words to learn each week. Have students match the correct word to the meaning. Introducing them to new vocabulary. </p></li><li><p>One at-home activity and one website to assist families with developing strong vocabulary in the home is playing vocabulary ispy. Anywhere in the home, spot an item you think your child could spell. Have them try to sound out the word to spell it. </p></li></ul>]]></description>

Then, the person calls on the next to read. 2. Small group reading- Choose a text that students can read together in a smaller group setting.</p></li><li><p>One at-home activity and one website to assist families with developing the component at home is simply, reading every night to your child. Reading every night can engage students fluency in reading.</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><br/></p><ul><li><p>Two developmentally appropriate classroom activities to support development of reading comprehenstion is 1. exit tickets- after a read aloud, ask students to fill out an exit ticket asking them questions about the text. 2. After a lesson, ask students large questions about new things they learned to have open conversations of recently learned information.</p></li><li><p>One at-home activity and one website to assist families with developing reading comprehenstion is less screen time, more reading! children should be reading every night aloud alounding. Following the reading, students should be having open conversations about what they are reading, or learning at school.</p></li></ul>]]></description>
