It was heartwarming that Jean Valjean saved Marius, even thought he hated Marius for loving his daughter Cosette. Marius then married Cosette. Then Jean tells Marius that he is a convict and that Cosette is not really his daughter! Marius gets mad and he tells Jean not to come to their house much anymore.
