      <item>
         <title>At the beginning of the session, one of of the components of the Child Find plan included screening.  We have excellent screening tools for Early Childhood.  We have DIBELS, Dyslexia Screening, etc... for school aged.  Are there other published screening tools for school-aged or just the informal screenings that were mentioned?</title>

Please clarify what "consultation" means when referring to this form.<br><br><strong>A conference to hold the EDR is required at re-evaluation with the required roles filled at the meeting and present unless formally excused. The EDR form/meeting can be used at any time data is reviewed in making team decisions concerning programming. Additional faculty and providers may review and provide information that are not present at the meeting if all roles are filled and those persons were not included in the notice of conference as attending.&nbsp;</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Can a parent  (or anyone else...district official, mediator) record an IEP meeting without the knowledge of all of the participants?<br><br><br><strong><em>Arkansas One Party Ark. Code Ann. § 5-60-120 An individual must have the consent of at least one party to a conversation, whether it<br>is in person or electronic. <br></em></strong><em><br></em><strong><em>One-Party Consent<br>If the consent of one party is required, you can record a conversation if you’re a party to the conversation. If you’re not a party to the<br>conversation, you can record a conversation or phone call provided one party consents to it after having full knowledge and notice that the<br>conversation will be recorded. Under Federal law, 18 U.S.C. § 2511(2)(d) requires only that one party give consent. In addition to this Federal<br>statute, thirty-eight (38) states and the District of Columbia have adopted a “one-party” consent requirement. Nevada has a one-party consent<br>law, but Nevada’s Supreme Court has interpreted it as an all-party consent law.<br></em></strong><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the previous session we were encouraged not to "give in" to the parents and give them what they want if the data is not there to justify the need.&nbsp; However, the end of the resolution section of the due process hearing timeline states that the resolution must be to the "parent's satisfaction".&nbsp; What explanation is there for not doing this in the beginning but then being required to after the resolution period?<br><br><strong>Parental concerns should always be considered as it relates to what is best for the student. Decisions concerning the student's educational benefit are to be made by the TEAM and supported by data.&nbsp;</strong></div>]]></description>
